Leading Lines:
My goal in the leading lines photos was to create lines that drew the observers attentions to a subject or the middle of the screen. I found it easy to use long lines such as roads, and sidewalks to create long leading lines.
Repetition:
My goal for repetition was to combine repetition with leading lines. I used goal in all but the last photo. I liked putting photos in B & W because it focuses on the repeating figures. Color becomes a distraction from the main focus of the repeating figures. The repeating figures can also be used to lead your eyes to something.

Depth Staging:
Depth staging was by far the hardest for me to accomplish. I tried to find a subject in the foreground and a subject in the background. Even if it wasn't a human subject. Depth staging is used to represent distance between two or more subjects.
Hi Brannan, your photos really interested me a lot. Out of all the concepts, I really liked your repetition photos. Your photos were really well taken. I also like how you were able to describe each concept descriptively so that I could understand what your goal was.
ReplyDeleteAwesome WorK!
I really understood what you were trying to capture in these photos. One thing I really liked was how a lot of these pictures felt like I was stuck in time and dropped into a certain location. Great job this week!
ReplyDeleteHey Brannan, all of your pictures look pretty good, but I really like how in your road photos it feels like the entire picture is an example of the depth concept you are illustrating. The symmetry enhances that aspect even more! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteHey Brannan, all of your photos are really good because of the editing and simplicity. I really liked how you were able to change the mood of the collection throughout your second blog post. I also found interesting how you played with increasing or decreasing saturation/temperature and brightness/contrast/highlights/shadow. This ultimately allows for depth to be seen in your photos. Great job this week.
ReplyDeleteGreat work Brianna, I really like your composition, and the shadowing you used. Keep up the great work.
